Condor Business Class Review (2025): A330-900neo Seats, Lounge, and Booking on Points

I’ve flown a lot of business class flights and for whatever reason Condor business class wasn’t on my radar. But man, it should be. I recently flew Condor Airbus A330-900neo in business class from Frankfurt to LAX (booked on points!) and it was pretty awesome.
Not everything was perfect, but the seats were spacious, the food was solid with local German touches, and it was incredibly modern. Plus, my layover in Frankfurt was possibly the most fun layover ever.
Here’s everything you need to know about the experience of flying Condor airlines business class, including how to book it on points, and whether it lives up to the hype.
Condor Business Class Review: Quick Guide & Video
There weren’t a ton of Condor airlines reviews before my flight, so I’m happy to share a video and a table of my favorite metrics!

Condor Airlines Business Class Lounge Access: 9/10
Flying out of Frankfurt airport, I had access to the Lufthansa Business Class Lounge which was a solid lounge experience. Was it as good as the Centurion lounges? Probably not, my Platinum Card® from American Express has ruined me for all other lounges.
That aside, the lounge was spacious without feeling empty, with plenty of quiet corners to work or relax before your flight.
What I loved:
- Great alcoholic and non-alcoholic options – There was a healthy variety of wines, beers and spirits. I’m all about a glass of pre-flight champagne, but I’m also all about not getting hungover on flights (am I getting old now?).
I loved that this lounge had tons of actual NA liquors, wines, and beers available, which I rarely see. - German specialties alongside international fare – The lounge had a buffet-style setup with hot and cold options.
They had fresh salads, German pretzels and cheeses, hot entrees that actually looked good. I grabbed a bowl of soup (because I’m 85) and was a happy camper. - Standard amenities – Clean bathrooms, power outlets at most seats, decent WiFi that actually worked. Everything you need for a productive or relaxing pre-flight experience.
- Very spacious– There was a ton of space in the lounge so it didn’t feel crowded at all.
Access to the Condor business class lounge in Frankfurt (aka the Lufthansa lounge) is included with your business class ticket. You want to arrive with enough time to enjoy it!
Condor Business Class Cabin & Seats: 9/10

The business class cabin on the Condor A330-900neo is really modern. I’m a sucker for colorful low lighting, and they nailed it. The mood lighting changes throughout the flight, which adds to the premium feel and theoretically helps with jetlag (someone let me know if that’s real, please).
As far as seats go, it’s a 1-2-1 configuration, but the front row of seats are Prime seats which are larger and come with extra perks like snacks and better amenities (more on that in a minute).
Seat Features:
- Fully lie-flat bed – Complete 180-degree recline. It’s actually comfortable for sleeping.
- Mattress pad and hefty comforter – A mattress pad is a premium amenity that a lot of business-class carriers don’t offer anymore. This made a huge difference for sleeping.
- Spacious footwell – I never felt cramped (I’m 5’7″ for reference) and there was plenty of room to stretch out.
- Intuitive seat controls – Easy to use with preset positions for takeoff, dining, and sleeping. No complicated buttons.
- Good storage – Overhead bins and side compartment for personal items. Small storage area by your feet for shoes.
- Spiral livery – How have I never noticed Condor planes on the tarmac before? The plane design is so distinct and eye-catching. It might be cheesy, but I loved it.
⚠️ The Honeymoon Seat Quirk: If you’re flying Condor business class you should be aware that the 1-2-1 layout is great, but the center seats are “honeymoon” style.

Meaning, the two center seats don’t have a ton of space between them. You can request privacy barrier that comes up or down, but you’re close to your neighbor.

I loved it with my boyfriend, but it might be odd with a stranger. If you’re solo, I’d recommend grabbing a window seat for more privacy and personal space.
Another odd choice was that the flight staff didn’t help set up the bed mats.
Most people around me didn’t realize what they were and weren’t using them. Airlines like Emirates and China Airlines do turndown service, which makes a difference in the luxury experience.

It’s super easy to set up yourself, so just don’t forget!
Are Condor Airlines Business Class Prime Seats Worth It?
Okay, let’s talk about Condor airlines business class Prime Seats. These are the four seats in Row 1 of the A330-900neo, and they’re a step up from the already solid business class seats.

I flew in a regular business class seat, but here’s what you get with a Prime Seat upgrade for an extra $200-360 depending on your route.
What makes Prime Seats different:
- Open ottoman instead of footwell – 28 inches wide by 27 inches deep, making for a much more comfortable sleeping experience. It definitely feels more like first class.
- Visitor seat with seatbelt – The ottoman doubles as a seat so your partner can sit across from you for meals or drinks with a table between you. A little silly, but fun!
- Pajamas included – There’s just something about getting pajamas on a flight that feels crazy fancy. The rest of business class doesn’t get these.
- Premium Rituals amenity kit – Better skincare products than the basic kit in regular business class
- Personal snack basket – Sweet and savory snacks that stay at your seat throughout the flight (I spotted candy bars in my neighbor’s basket). This solves the limited snack service issue I mentioned earlier
- Massive 24-inch 4K screen – Compared to 17.3 inches in regular business class. If you’re watching movies for 12 hours, that’s noticeable
- Free unlimited text messaging – Regular business class passengers have to pay for WiFi
If you do want them, which Prime Seat should you choose?:
- Window seats (2A and 2K) – If you’re a solo traveler, go for these. They’re way more private with access to two windows and more separation from other passengers.
- Center seats (1E and 1F) – These are perfect for couples, though there’s a privacy divider you can deploy if needed. I’d do this for a romantic flight 💕
So are they worth it? Honestly, it depends on your budget and priorities. At $200-360 extra, that’s a lot of money to pay for pajamas. I’d do it on my honeymoon though.
Condor Business Class Drinks: 9/10
I’m on a new mission to drink less on flights (nothing like a hangover after landing in Paris), but I still love tasting everything.
What I tried:

- German Wines – They had great wine options and I was particularly impressed with the German white wine.
- Specialty cocktails – Unfortunately, they were out of tonic water, which was a bummer for my go-to pre-dinner cocktail. They also offered their own Condor cocktail, which was their take on a Cosmo. Personally, it was way too sweet for my taste, but to each their own!
Condor Airlines Business Class Food: 7/10
The food was good with great local German touches, but I was surprised there was no red meat option on a 12-hour flight. The menu was a selection between chicken, salmon, and pasta.

After Takeoff Experience:
- Mixed nuts – pretty standard and served with our first drink order
- Cheese dip with pretzel – This was perfect after my time in Frankfurt. Fresh pretzel with creamy cheese dip. Warm, soft, and exactly what you want at altitude.
- Burrata ball – Cutting into an entire gooey ball of burrata at 30,000 feet? Incredible. It was served with fresh tomatoes and basil and actually good airplane food.
- Carrot delice – Light and lovely (though I still don’t know what a delice is). Think fancy carrot mousse.
- Tender shrimp – I’m not afraid of seafood on an airlines (hopefully those aren’t famous last words). It was really tender and well seasoned.
- Chicken in cream sauce with gnocchi – Since there was no red meat I opted for the chicken. Chicken was moist and delicious (which is rare for airline chicken).
The cream sauce was rich without being too heavy. The gnocchi was a little mushy to be honest, but it wasn’t the end of the world - Salmon – My boyfriend ate his and forgot to share, so I’m assuming it was great!
- Lacking in snacks – For a 12-hour flight you’d expect them to have more snack options.
I woke up after about 4 hours and was hungry, and they didn’t have anything except chocolates. I ended up having soft pretzels leftover from dinner (okay…I may have had two). - Dessert – A cheese plate and/or cheesecake. It felt lovely and European.
Before landing, I had:
- Baby leaf lettuce salad – Tomato, carrot, Spanish dressing. Light and refreshing.
- Pulled beef with sweet potato puree – Finally, some red meat! The beef was tender and the barbecue sauce was good, but it was lighter vs a full meal
- Mascarpone cream dessert – This was a nice light dessert to end the flight
- Häagen-Dazs ice cream – Because why not?
There may or may not be Bailey’s in this…

Overall, it was a great dining experience. I found the lack of red meat at dinner and snacks to be odd, but otherwise all good!
Condor Business Class Amenity Kit & Extras: 6/10
The amenity kit was pretty basic. Nothing fancy, but it came with a travel bag that’s now my gym bag.
What’s included:

- Lotion
- Chapstick
- Toothpaste
- Sleeping mask
- Reusable travel bag
Bathrooms: Basic and clean. There were no special amenities but it was well-maintained throughout the flight.
WiFi: There was wifi available but it wasn’t working when I tried to use it.
Condor Business Class Service: 8/10
The flight attendants were lovely. Friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the 12-hour journey.
That being said, I wish they’d done turndown service for the beds. Airlines like China Airlines and Emirates do this, and it makes a real difference. If you didn’t realize what the mattress pad was for (like most of my neighbors), you’d miss out.
Entertainment System in Condor Business Class: 9/10
To be honest, I’m not incredibly picky here. I’m more of a “watch the map while I read” person.
I felt like there were lots of options, including new releases, and my filmmaker boyfriend was happy so I’m assuming it was great.
Condor Business Class Sleep Quality: 9/10
I slept really well, which is rare on flights! Out of the 12 hour flight, I probably slept 6 hours, which I really appreciated for jetlag.
Lie-Flat Sleeping Experience in Condor Airlines Business Class:
- The mattress pad made a huge difference – Combined with thick comforter and pillow
- Spacious lie-flat seat – Could stretch out without feeling cramped
- Good cabin temperature and lighting – Dim and comfortable
Waking up refreshed on a 12-hour flight is pretty rare, so this was a win.
How does Condor business class compare to other airlines?
Honestly, this was one of the better business-class experiences I’ve had. I’d say it’s:
- Better than Swiss Airlines or Air Tahiti
- On par with Air France
- But not as good as Emirates or China Airlines (you just can’t beat an EMEA airline for style or service).
How to Book Condor Business Class on Points
You can book Condor Airlines business class using Alaska Airlines miles. I was notified that a flight from Europe to LAX was available thanks to one of the points tools I use, Roame. I set an alert, and then just wait for them to email me that something is available!

I booked this flight for 70,000 Alaska miles per person from Frankfurt to LAX. Compare that to the retail price of $3,560 per person, and you’re getting about 5 cents per point in value. That’s excellent for award redemptions.

How to book:
Step 1 – Earn Alaska Airlines Miles
Unfortunately, none of the major card families like Chase, Amex, Capital One etc transfer to Alaska, so you’ll need an Alaska card for this. Personally, once you have the major cards, I think this could be worth it. Alaska has a lot of solid business-class availability.
- Alaska Airlines Card – Typically offers 40,000-60,000 miles as a sign-up bonus after meeting minimum spending requirements
- Regular spending – Combine the bonus with everyday spending, and you could have enough for a one-way ticket pretty quickly
Step 2 – Search for Award Availability
- Go to Alaska Airlines website and log into your account
- Search for Condor flights (they’re a partner airline, so they show up in normal search)
- Search up to 330 days in advance – Book early for best selection
- Be flexible with dates – Weekday flights often have better availability than weekends
- Off-peak seasons work best – Late fall or early spring tend to have more options than summer
- Try different routes – Frankfurt to LAX, JFK, or other major US cities
Step 3 – Book Online or Call
- Most Condor award space can be booked online through Alaska’s website
- The booking process is straightforward and user-friendly
- Phone agents are helpful if you have issues or want to book a complex itinerary, but personally, I’ve never had trouble booking Condor awards online
⚠️ Important: Award availability can be limited during peak travel seasons (summer, holidays). Book as far in advance as possible. I typically search as soon as possible
